Pain And Burning Sensation When Urinating, Frequent Urination, Back Pain. Can Ampoxin Be Taken?
My wife is having pain and burning sensation in urine since last 2 days and going for frequent urination . She is also getting back pain on one side. We are currently in US and all doctor offices are closed today. We have Ampoxin in home. Can she take that anti biotech to get relief from pain? What could be causes of her pain? Appreciate your advice and help. Thanks very much in advance

From the description of the symptoms it looks like your wife has UTI.
She needs to do a urinalysis and urine culture to guide the appropriate antibiotic therapy.
The ultrasound will also help to rule out obstruction or stones.
She should drink plenty of fluids and see a physician.

Your wife seems to have a UTI,but a pyelonephritis cannot be ruled out.
In either case its not advisable to take over the counter medications.Please visit your physician at the earlies.In the meanwhile,drinking lot of fluids and maintaining good urine output should help.
