Pain And Discomfort In Chest And Back After Gymnastics. Doctors Cleared Me But Should I Be Concerned?
hi i started doing high school gymnastics for the first time a few weeks ago. I did something where we have a long trampaline and run then jump and flip onto a big soft mattress. I had done it 50 times fine but i did it today and i dont think i didnt tuck my neck enough but i landed. Im not sure if it was on my neck or upper back but my neck made a noise that worried me and i kind of got the breath knocked out of me and couldnt really breath. But that went away after a few minutes but i was in pain and stunned. I went to this sports physican and she told me if i felt numbness or tingling to go to the hospitial. Which freaked me out a lot so i got exfremely stressed and then since i have anxiety i think i may have had a panic attack. Then she felt my back shoulders and neck and told me i am fine. But she asked if i fell on my neck or back and i dont know so i said my upper back but i dont know if that was true. Then now my neck doesnt hurt it feels different than normal but if i put my fingers on my neck or anything i can still obviously fell it but it doesnt feel like anything. My chest and back in same place hurt when i breath in deeply and still now my back doesnt hurt besides.this one place in my back. My chest still feels tight but like i said i have anxiety and had been crying for like an hour so i dont know if i should freak out. My coach said im fine and the expert said im fine but is it bad it doesnt hurt
I think you should not worry too much. As you say that you have panic attack, it is important not to worry too much. If you are getting pins and needles sensation in your finger tips, try to slow your breathing and you can breath in and out of a paper bag. Chest pain when you take a big breath can be a muscle catch between your ribs. This will get better. Consult your doctor if you feel any numbness in your arms and legs, have any bladder control problem. Donot worry too much as your symptoms seems to be more of panic related.
