Pain Behind Kneecap When Sitting Or Squatting After Injury. Does It Just Need Time To Heal?
Hi! I fell hard on my knee about a week ago...there s no noticeable swelling and the bruise is starting to heal but now there is pain behind my kneecap in the center and only hurts when I sit for a long period of time, squatting down or going down stairs...and now I ve noticed it starting to pop when I walk... Do I just need time to heal or should I get it checked out?
Most common cause of knee pain is osteoarthritis. I will advise you if possible do X ray of knee and you can consult with your doctor.
Another possibility of knee pain can be due to meniscus injury ,which can be confirmed by clinical examination and if required MRI. Till time take analgesic and apply knee support.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
Take care
