Pain During Sex Followed By Heavy Bleeding With Brownish Discharge And Black Blood Clots. On Mirena. Any Thoughts?
Hello, I have had the mirena in for 3 years now, I had 6months of bleeding when inserted and then my periods disappeared completely. This was fine but now im in my 4th year and i am having pain while having intercourse and bleeding after intercourse to the point that i no longer have sex with my husband for the last 2 months, I have has sever head aches for the last week and sever stomach pain for the last week shooting up from my uterus to my ribs, I have been discharging brownish old blood with tiny black blood clots for the last 3 days. what is going on or should I do please help. Im to be having it taken out in december of 2015.

You have marina since 3 years, so far you are all right.Recently you are having pain during sex and bleeding after intercourse.
These indicates that there is infection, may be trichomoniasis, candidiasis, etc.The other reason may be anemia. I advise you to consult a gynecologist for diagnosis and treatment.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms fluconazole, cifixime, ornidazole.
Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and protein rich foods, to correct anemia, and to improve resistance.
