Pain In Arm And Elbow, Used Heating Pad. Have Raynaud's Disease, Poor Circulation, Double Mastectomy

I had a double mastectomy two weeks ago and have Raynauds disease and poor circulation. Because its hard to lay down to sleep I have been reclined in a lazyboy. I keep waking during the night in excruciating pain in my right arm around upper arm and elbow . Heating pad helps a little and I ve been trying to use a stress ball to build up the muscle. What can I do so I don t wake up crying every night?

Hi friend
Welcome to Health Care Magic

The pain could be from poor circulation fro Raynauds - What are the medicines you are using?
Some vasodilators (calcium channel blocker like nifedipine, nitrates like isosorbide) / platelet inhibitors (like aspirin) may help. Discuss with your GP and get appropriate prescription.
There may also be a neurologic component. Medicines like gabapentin will raise the pain threshold and reduce the intensity of the pain.
Mild narcotic pain relievers like tramadol can offer some temporary relief.
See your GP - he/she may advise further as per the situation.

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
