Pain In Chest, Tongue And Throat. Persistent Cough. Allergy?
Hello! I am usually active because I play basketball and I condition, but the other day, I went outside for a jog (first one since last summer) and it wasn t too intense. Anyway, my tounge, throat , and chest were killing me! I had horrible chest pain about a half hour after my run and still (two days later) I have a persistent cough . I am quite sure I don t have asthma because I think I would know sooner. It is allergies or should it be checked out?
Symptoms of tongue/throat discomfort with chest pain and cough following a jog (after a considerable gap) suggest an infection of throat or lungs. This could be from a virus or a bacterium. Possibility of a muscular strain leading to pain in chest also needs to be thought of.
Is your cough dry? Is there any phlegm, that too yellow in color? Being a regular basket ball player earlier, asthma seems to be unlikely.
Possibility of allergies inhaled during the jog (unfamiliar flower pollen etc.) cannot be excluded. Chest pain due to allergy is rather unusual. Get the expert advice of your doctor at the earliest, but not as an emergency.
Hope you get relieved of your problem soon. Thanks a lot for using healthcaremagic.com
