Pain In Knee While Over Using, Popping Sound While Unbending, More Pain In Right Knee

I'm 16 years old, female. I have been experiencing pain in my knee. I don't have the pain all the time but only with over using it or going up the steps. The pain is on the inside of my knee and sometimes when I bend and unbend it I can feel a popping. it is my right knee that hurts the most but sometimes my other knee hurts to, but not at the same time.

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C. Forum.
If I were your treating doctor for this case of pain in the left knee joint , I would come up with these possibilities , these includes.
1 Osteoarthritis of both knee , diagnosis can be confirmed by X RAY and C T scan of both knee . Blood examination for C B C , E S R also help in this case .
2 Rheumatoid arthritis as you are very young and pain in the left knee may be the beginning of rheumatoid arthritis . Diagnosis can be confirmed by blood for for R A factor and E S R ( if elevated , is an indication ).
3 Gouty arthritis , diagnosis can be confirmed by examination of uric acid level in blood .
In my opinion first of all consult an orthopedic surgeon and get his opinion.
Good LUCK. Dr. HET
