Pain In Left Shoulder, Numb Feeling, Unable To Lift Arm. Did I Pull A Muscle?

hi i got up off the chair and felt instant pain for no apparent reason shoot from my lef shoulder to my fingers causing a numbing feeling, it kept me awake literally all night, my arm is very heavy and im unable to lift it without slowly supporting and raising it with my right arm, have i unknowingly pulled a muscle? many thanks.

Hi,
From history it seems that due to uneven movement at shoulder joint at the time of got up you might be having strain and muscle pull producing spasm of muscles giving rise this problem.
Take analgesic with muscle relaxant medicine for 1-2 days.
Apply analgesic cream locally.
Ok and take care.
