Pain In Leg. History Of Kick In Leg. No Swelling Or Bruise. Recommend

My daughter was kicked in the leg during a soccer game. She was kicked on the left leg on the outside of the leg. She does not have a bruise or swelling, but complains of pain. I iced it and wrapped it with an ace bandage and reapplied ice, and told her to stay off her feet and elevate the leg. What do you recommend. Send response to YYYY@YYYY

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query
From description it seems to be soft tissue injury. It is good that you had followed the principle of RICE (rest, ice, compression and elevation). If swelling and tendernessis more and painful to bear weight it is better to rule out bony injury by xrays.
Hope this will helps you.
