Pain In Lower Abdomen. History Of Breast Cancer And Micro Cystic Adnexal Carcinoma And Developed Symptoms That Required Hysterectomy. Should I Consult Doctor?
I'm 45, and after breast cancer and microcystic adnexal carcinoma in 2008, developed symptoms in 2011 that required a hysterectomy/oopherectomy. No HRT because of breast cancer. For the past three days, I've had increasing pain in my lower abdomen (where my uterus and ovaries USED to be). It hurts when I move, when I walk and when I cough. Almost feels like things are "loose" in there. No fever. Should I see a doctor?
You definitely need to see your physician to rule out inscisional hernia.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Lohit K's Response
Hi,
Since history of surgery (hysterectomy/oopherectomy) and increasing pain in lower abdomen, it is better to get examined and evaluated once to prevent if any problem. The pain may be due to musculoskeletal or ureteric colic or due to intestinal problem, which can be treated with short term treatment. So till consultation have plenty of fluids and mild analgesics like Ibuprofen. This may help in relieving pain.
