Pain In Neck And Head. Tests Show Clear Arteries. Virus?
About 10 years ago I began having facial pain on the right side of my face, then sores in my mouth but only on the right side of my gums, then searing headaches and aching in my right ear and most recently pain in my joints and my feet. I thought my symptoms were totally unrelated to things my husband was experiencing until recently he had a sharp pain in the artery of his neck and pain shot up through the top of his head and it was over in a matter of 15 seconds. I began to tie our symptoms together after this because the exact same thing recently happened to me but it was in my leg. The doctor ran tests but his arteries were clear so could we have picked up a virus or something?
Pain in head and neck are common symptoms that might have nothing doing with arteries at times. A proper clinical physical examination, answering specific questions from your doctor and issues about your past family history remain corner stones of an exact diagnosis. primary headaches (migraine, tension headaches, tension headaches), and especially, tension headaches and some migraine headaches could present with head and neck pain. Local causes of neck pain must also be well evaluated to.
A neurologist is better placed, after examining you to ask proper additional examinations to better investigate this problem. Book an appointment with a neurologist as I pray this helps. Thanks and kind regards,
Bain LE, MD.
