Pain In Stomach, No Urination. Medical Cure For This?
I woke up at 2 this morning to my stomach just killing me. I threw up trying to take pepto and it still hurts a little now, but now my lower right side hurts now, I ate a full meal and that seemed to help a tiny bit. But oddly in the last 24 hours I have not had to use the bathroom once. It still hurts now mostly when I walk or move my right leg.
Hi and welcome to HCM.
These symptoms can be related to your bladder or ureter. If you have urine retention it would cause lower abdominal and inguinal area. You should visit urologist because there can be prostate enlargement if you are male or pelvic organs disorders if you are a female. YOu should drink lot of water and urologic teas to provoke urination. ALso you should consider gallbladder disorder so do abdominal ultrasound to evaluate this. Wish you good health.
Hi ! The symptoms you have described points to some kind of irritation in the peritoneal cavity (abdomen). It could be an attack of appendicitis, or urinary tract infection with impacted calculi in the right side ureter. There could be a reflex suppression of urine in these conditions. I would suggest you to be examined clinically be your family physician first, who may advise you for investigations like CBC, urine test, ultrasound abdomen, and then he may advise to be examined by a general surgeon. By the way, you have not mentioned anything on your age. In case of elderly persons urinary retention with distended bladder due to increase in the size of prostate has to be ruled out.
Take care.
