Pain In The Bone Near The Neck. Nerve Related Or Stress?

Hi, I randomly get sharp pains in the bone that sticks out a bit in the lower back of my neck. I think the pain is from the nerves around it, but I'm not sure. I get it randomly and when I do, its pretty sudden. The duration varies. I have been getting it more often now though than any other times. The pain is moderate and it is really uncomfortable.
I am a 19 year old female. I am also in the middle of finals week. Could stress be an answer for my pains? I don't feel very stressed, but that is the only thing I could really think of right now. Are there any other possible answers that could be causing the pain?
Thank you,
Becca

Hi! Becca. Your problem may be due to long hours of sitting and studying. Try to sit for 1 hour and take a break for 15 mts and relax by sitting straight or lying down. This is more due to strain on your neck muscles. If it still continues see a GP.All the Best for your Finals.
