Pain In Throat, Hurts When Swallowing, Yawning, Coughing. Help?
Hi doc my name is emma I am 19 past 2 to 3 days I've had pain in my throat everytime I swallow it hurts and everytime I yawn it hurts well now everytime cough it now hurts what's wrong doc I've not long relased from a blocked nose and sore throat I've had limesick every 4 hours but now turned into pain in throat and yawn and coughing why is this can u help me doc
You don't have to worry much. The symptoms you described suggest a throat infection only. But a Physical examination in mandatory to exactly find out the site and nature of infection. So I'd advise you to get an appointment with an ENT specialist to get yourself examined. He may also do some blood work also. If your complaints are very recurrent get checked for deviated nasal septum also.
In the mean time I'd advise you to gargle throat with mildly hot saline (salty) water. It'll reduce the pain in throat. Also avoid cold drinks and foods. Drink hot water only.
