Pain In Throat When Swallowing, Cough. Histroy Of Treatment For Severe Dry Cough. Advice
i have dry cough for the last one month or more. not severe for the first three weeks. when became severe, consult a doctor and had antibiotic for 5 days and it seems disappear at least for two days. but restarted with occasional cough again for the past three days. Now i feel slight pain while food and water passing through esophagus. give me some advice.
Hello, thanks for the query.
Might be pain in pharynx when something is passing as food and water ( as you mentioned esophagus).
This is due to pharyngitis which might be not treated properly.
After consultation with a doctor take another round of treatment for throat infection.
A s far as concerned about cough which reoccurs , pl note down that it might be an allergic cough or due to asthmatics allergic bronchitis ( a common problem now a day).
Get in an X ray of chest with blood examination and than consult a doctor an take treatment.
Good luck. Dr. HET
