Painful Bowel Movement, Anal Pain, Tiny Lump On One Side. Treatment Required?
Earlier I had a painful movement and now my anus hurts. I took a mirror and looked back there to see if there was any irritation and I found that the rim looks a little purple on one side and there is a very tiny lump on the other side. I'm just wondering if it will go away on its own, or if I will have to go to my doctor.

Continues stress over anus ( opening for stool) due to forcible expulsion of stool whether there is desire of defecation or not is the main cause of hemorrhoids , I have noted this thing in my practical life.
Same thing is with you, the bluish ( purple) colored bulging ( lump) is an hemorrhoid .
So if you want to get rid off this small bulge than keep one thing in brain , only go to toilet when there is strong desire of defecation and stool is just at the anal opening.
In this type of situation you will not put pressure ( stress ) over that lump and it will soon disappear.
Constipation and stress for stool are two main reason of hemorrhoids.

With the available describes symptoms, there appears to be high possibility of thrombosed hemorrhoids.
You should consult with internal medicine specialist/ general surgeon and should go for thorough check up.
You should also go for complete blood count, blood sugar, serum electrolytes, and thyroid profile.
You should take plenty of water, high fibre diet and laxatives containing lactitol and isapgula.
You should perform increased physical activity to maintain gastrointestinal mobility.
You should also take proton pump inhibitors along with prokinetics.
You should also take hot sitz bath three times in a day.

You must go your doctor to examine you and confirm diagnosis.
Initially conservative treatment is recommended :local cold,anal cream(corticosteroids),drug for vein,laxatives,painkillers,eat plenty of fruit(not apple or banana)and vegetables ,drink lots of water.If conservative treatment dont improve your symptoms,surgery is indicated.
By now,apply cold in anal area and take some painkiller.
