Painful Breasts, Not Sexually Active. Negative Pregnancy Test. What Is Wrong?
I m 48yrs old, never been pregnant, never had soar breast or nipples before or after periods. My period ended 9-13 & 2 days later I have painful breast/nipples. I also notice a light color line going from my belly button to pubic hair . I know this is for pregnant women. I have not been sexually active since late July & my period came both months thereafter. I did assume I could be pregnant after researching the internet, so I took a test & that was negative. I maybe going to premenapause or something else could be wrong. I also noticed when I suck in my gut its very uncomfortable and never has been.
Yes, you are right in suspecting pregnancy and this would be the first thing we would have to rule out with the help of a more accurate pregnancy test like a serum pregnancy test to check on serum hCG levels or an ultrasound scan. You have also reported to have seen the linea gravidarum, and either all of this is due to pregnancy or you could be having some hormonal imbalances due to a premenopausal state, although you have not mentioned your age, and this would be inaccurate of me to say without your age, I am assuming this only as you have suspected it. Please do visit your doctor at the earliest to confirm/rule out pregnancy and the way forward from there.
Wishing you the best. Hope this helps.
Take care.
