Painful Chest, Left Side, Painful Breathing, Pleural Thickening In Luns, Asthmatic. Medication?

Hi Doc-
Couple of years back, i had this pain started in left side of the chest. I have pain while inhaling and exhaling. I mean the inhale process is not complete and i cannot inhale more completely. I went to a doctor 1.5 years back and he said that there is a plueral thickening at the bottom of the left lung. He has give me a medicine for a asthma of there is a breathing problem.
i stopped using it. I still have a problem in breathing and back side and front side of chest. This is not stoppping me in doing my daily activities. But i have been living with this difficulty and pain for last 2 years.

Will there be any increase in the thickening as the time goes and need to recheck with doctor?

As i visited a pulomologist earlier, please advise if i need to visit a doctor again. please let me know of any direction that i should proceed.
I have no instances of any diseases earlier.

Thank you

Pulmonologist 's  Response
The pleural thickening may be causing pain because of the stretching effect when you are trying to inhale completely. The thickening may increase or decrease with time but before that the cause of thickening has to be established. Hence you should consult a pulmonologist and get a thorough examination done which may also include a ct chest.
