Painful Heart, Had Kawasaki Disease. Treated. Any Ideas?
My daughter is 7 and complaining of her heart hurting. It has happened the last 2 times she was at dance class. She was treated for Kawasaki disease when she was 4yrs. We did the follow up and everything seemed fine but she was still complaining of this problem even back then. She has just started telling me that it hurts but she said it has happened before at school. Any thoughts?
Kawasaki disease causes Arteritis - could result in coronary artery aneurysms / and the healing process also may cause narrowing of the artery...
The child should better be seen by a Paediatric Cardiologist - to exclude late consequences / complications... Routine investigations may not suffice...
Discuss with your doctor...
Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
