Painful Knot On Lower Leg Following An Accident. Should I See A Doctor?

Hi, Three weeks ago I had a teammate land on top of my lower leg with her knee. There was immediate swelling but I did not hear a snap or pop. The swelling has not changed at all and there is an egg sized knot. I have a lot of pain when I point my foot and if the area near the shin is touched. Should I be concerned enough to see a doctor about this or should i continue with home treatment?
