Painful Lump Between Butt & Scrotum Which Has Increased In Size. What Could This Be And Treatment?

I had a acorn sized lump triangulated between my inner thing left butt cheek and scrotum. I assumed at first to be an ingrown hair. When I squeezed it the growth imploded under my skin and now has become elongated. It isn't painful unless I put force on it but haven't since it spread. It reduced in size at first but has now become elongated. Does anyone have a guess as to how dangerous it could be or a remedy in which to cure it? I don't have insurance and cannot afford even a doctors visit. Thanks.

Welcome to HCM.
Most likely it is due to infection called development of folliculitis (hair root infection)
It usually occurs after improper hygiene, severe perspiration and tight undergarment.
Take proper local care.Wash that area with anti septic soap or liquid.
Avoid tight undergarment, avoid undergarment during night.
You have to start proper antibiotic like amoxy/clavulinic,moxiflaxacin.
Nsaid to subside pain,swelling,inflammation.
You have to consult surgeon to confrim the diagnosis and medications.
Surgical removal is needed if not improved with oral treatment and recurrence.

Hi painful lump extending from buttock to scrotum can be abscess.it is due to uncleanliness and excessive moisture in that area.use of broad spectrum antibiotic thrice daily .a anti inflammatory agent and application of mupirocin ointment twice daily can cure the condition.if no response go for incision and drainage of the lesion
