Painful Lump Under Skin After Bitten By Ferret. Is It Just Tissue Repairing?

Hi I was bitten by a ferret about 3 weeks or so ago. His tooth hooked under the skin and it took a while for me to be able to remove him by pushing a towel into his mouth after all else failed. Although it has pretty much healed, I now have a lump under the skin that hurts when it is touched or gets cold. Is this just tissue repairing under the skin?

I hope you have taken the antibiotics treatment beforehand.
If not take one course.
It may be an infection although it is 3 weeks.
Just healing - should have no pain / tenderness after 3 weeks - whatever the injury be.
