Painful Nose With Swelling After A Fall. Is The Mark On Nose Permanent?

Hi, I hit my nose about 5 weeks ago now quite hard on a pavement, there was bleexing inside and out. The doctor said give it a few days to let the swelling go down. since I get pain in my nose now and again and it also looks like the shape has changed. Now where I cut my nose on the bridge there is a mark which when touched goes very red. Is this permanent?

Thanks for using health care magic. I read your query and trauma is just 5 weeks back. after the trauma the swelling and oeadma takes place. this can be managed conservatively. no surgery is required at this stage. external scar mark will go or lighten with certain creams and ointment which can be consulted with skin specialist. if there is external deformity of nose that can be taken for surgery(if required) after about 6 months.
If still in doubt, please feel free to see a doctor. Please don’t hesitate to consult and ask for any more queries.
With best wishes for a speedy cure
