Hello and welcome to HCM, I am Dr Nilajkumar a consultant gynecologist and I will be helping you in your queries.
I understand your problem. Knowing your age would have helped immensely in giving a better opinion. However as of now the reasons for this may be hormonal imbalances, adenomyosis [ a condition where the uterus is enlarged due to in growth of its lining], fibroids and ovarian cysts [ non cancerous tumors of uterus and ovaries]. Some of these are more common in peri menopausal age so knowing your age would have helped.
The best way to diagnose these are by an examination and ultrasound. You may need some blood hormone assays. So see your doctor as soon as possible. Drugs like tranexamic acid help to control the bleed and can be obtained after prescription.
Hope this was helpful. Feel free to ask any further queries and I will be happy to help. Thanks for using HCM. Have a good day. Dr Nilajkumar Bagde Consultant Obstetrics and Gynecology
