Painful Sore Throat With White Patches And Swallowing Difficulty. No Relief With Gargling And Lozenges
I have a very painful sore throat with white patches on the throat. There is also a burning in the throat. I went to urgent care, dr. said it was viral and not strep. I've been gargling and using lozenges. I had a fever of 101 for one day, but it went away. It is very painful to swallow. This is day 6 with no improvement. Is this normal, or should I seek another opinion? How long does this usually last?
