Painless Bump On Labia Minora. Liquid, Blood Came On Pooping. What Is It?

Hello!

A few days ago while showering, I realized one small bump on my labia minora area. It is common for me to get skin irritation from shaving down there, but I have never had a bump in this area. The color of the bump is mainly skin with a hint of redness-- this bump had no pain, the only time I recognized it was once I showered and felt it. It looked as if it had a white head so I tried popping it and it was more clear liquid and blood that came from it; after popping it is when I felt discomfort and some pain within that little area. I have been watching it and the size since I recognized it and the pigment is still a little red and it looks a little swollen, maybe from me trying to mess with it.

I have very minimal amount of sexual partners, although there has been some unprotected sex. I would like to get tested just to be safe, but for some reason I feel too ashamed when I know I shouldn't be. I guess from doing research I do not know what that little bump could be and that leaves a very frightening thought in my head! I appreciate any input. Thank you.

OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
According to your description, the lump you mentioned could be a Bartholin cyst.
Bartholin gland lies near the vaginal opening, its duct opens at the labia minora.
When the duct of gland gets blocked, cyst will form.
When the cyst gets infected, abscess will form.
Abscess contains pus and blood due to the infecting organism destroying the gland tissue.
Better to get examined once to find out the exact nature of the lump.
Consult gynecologist once, get examined.
You may need one course of systemic and local antibiotics to cure the infection.
Analgesic and anti - fibrinolytic drugs help in decreasing pain and inflammatory symptoms.
Sitz bath helps in decreasing the symptoms.
Take care.
