Painless Puffy Lips With Red Lines Inside. What Could It Be?
I have had a painless area on the inside of my upper lip (in front of front teeth ) that is raised a looks like it s filled with something. Also, the other morning, I woke up to my lips feeling puffy with red lines inside on the bottom lip and just behind the center of the upper lip. What could it be? My lips have also been very chapped lately. Thank you!

Hello, Thanks for writing to us.
Treatment for swollen upper lip depends on what has caused an increase in the lip size. For a chronic inflammation treatment involves intake of anti-inflammatory drugs and corticosteroids to subside swelling. Antihistamines are commonly prescribed to treat allergic reactions. Avoiding the irritant will work in favour of people suffering from contact dermatitis on the lip. Recurrent outbreaks of upper lip swelling due to neurological disorder is a rare and usually the result of contact with irritants.
