Passed Bowel Mixed With Blood, No Pain. Discomfort Like Cramps Near Rectum. Hemorrhoids?
This morning I found blood in the water in the toilet mixed with my bowel. It was enough to make the water red. It came out with semi loose bowel but I did not feel any pain or pressure until much later - I felt little dull discomfort in the abdominal area. I still feel a little dull discomfort like menstrual cramp but closer to rectum. I am scared. Hemorrhoids or something more severe?
Hi, Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic. Blood in stool may be because of hemorrhoids, fissures, polyps, ulcers in colon or rectum. Fissure is seen in people with a history of constipation and presents with pain along bleeding. Whereas hemorrhoids present with painless bleeding. Rectal examination is required to look for fissures and hemorrhoids. Sigmoidoscopy or colonoscopy will detect the deep lesions inside the colon. Hence I suggest you to consult the doctor for examination. Hope I have answered your query. Regards.
