Passing Tan Coloured, Soft Stools. Due To Eating Lots Of Fruits And Vegetables?
Hi, last two weeks I have tan colored stool (and maybe little more soft). I already went to doctor but it take some time before i get test results. I have no other symptoms - no pain, no diarrhea , etc. Just that color. I m eating more veggies and fruits than before. May it be because of this? Thank you for your help, Joseph.
Colour of the stool also depends upon the food eaten. Dark tanned stool can also be due to bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract.
After reading your post, I would suggest that you should get your stool examined for occult blood in addition to routine and microscopic examination.
You can take an antacid like Omeprazole 40mg once a day before meals. Further medical management can be planned according to the reports of the above mentioned investigation.
I hope this is helpful to you. Thanks.
