Peeling Of Skin On Thumb, No Blood. Fear Tetanus?

Can I ask yesterday I opened a new bag of dog treats for my dog. The bad was stapled like the package and very lightly my thumb pressed on one of them peeling it off to open it. It hurt but it didn't go in the skin I don't think, and theres no blood at all or mark. Will I get tetanus tho? I will get my shot soon. Its never been opened the bag of food.

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
As there was no blood or mark, it basically shows that there was no invasive injury. So there are practically no chances of getting tetanus. Tetanus is a bacterial infection of spores of clostridium tetani. Anti tetanus injections are only required in case of trauma leading to open wounds. I don't think that you need an injection to prevent tetanus
Hope that helped.
Take care
