Pelvic Area Pain, Foul Odor In Urine, Faded Yellow Colour. What Could The Cause Be?

I have had pain in my pelvic area starting on the left side and going across the front of my body to my right side.
I have not had this kind of pain before. I do know around this time I also had urine with a foul odor and my urine looks like a faded or dull yellow colour. I also have pain on my right side above my leg in my abdominal area.
What can this be?

Welcome to HCG.
It might be due to urine infectoin or stone in the urinary system.
You have to go for certain investigations like CBC,URINE,FBS,PPBS and usg abdomen to rule out the diagnosis.
Take nsaid with dicyclomin to subside pain and start antibiotic like oflox/levoflox or combination with cefixime.
Drink more water and other liquids.
Consult your doctor for proper diagnosis and better line of medical management.

HI ! From the history of urine being foul smelling along with the altered colour, it seems like you have got a urinary tract infection. You are advised to go for a routine urine test along with a culture sensitivity of the same, and go with the report to your family physician. However, right side lower abdominal pain could be due to appendicitis and other pelvic pathology in females. Therefore, if the pain increases or persists, then I would suggest you to get reviewed by your family physician/surgeon to rule out these pathology by clinical examination and possible ultrasound scan. Wishing you good luck.

Hi,
Pelvic pain can be caused by pelvic organs including the intestines, urinary tract and in females the uterus and the ovaries. In your case since the pain is associated with urinary problems also ,the chances of involvement of the urinary tract is high.Pathologically it can be a stone ,infection or both.In your case it seems to be both considering the nature of the pain and the foul odour of the urine.Further investigations are required including blood counts, urine for RBC s and pus cells,Urine culture and sensitivity and USG abdomen. In the meanwhile you can take plenty of oral fluids along with antispasmodics and broad spectrum antibiotics.
Wish you a speedy recovery.
