Periods, Continuous Spotting For Three Weeks, No Sexual Intercourse In Last Few Days. Causes For Spotting?

i had my period about 3weeks ago and i am still having spots of blood though it should have ended about 2 weeks ago.initially i thought having sex with my husband was causing the spots but i have realised that even though i have not had sex with him for some days now im still spotting.what could be the cause and what should i do?

Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
In my opinion do your urine pregnancy test which if negative get a pelvic ultrasonography and b HCG testing because it can be an early pregnancy or worse ectopic tubal pregnancy and then visit a gynecologist with reports
And from next cycle onwards start using a regular method of contraception.
