My periods have been regular till last menstrual cycle. Now this time it has got delayed by almost 28 days. I have done two home pregnancy test after I missed my date but they turned out to be negative. But I keep on getting cramps in my lower abdomen throughout the day intermitently. I had sex with my husband after 12 days of my last menstrual cycle. Is it possible that I am pregnant inspite of negative urine pregnancy test? Thanks, Mani
Hello Mani, The pregnancy test kits are not 100% right, there are many types of errors while doing test, or there are errors of the kit also . but 28 days delay is too long, and its association with crampy pain is not good !! There might be possibility of you getting pregnant as the kits are not fool proof as said earlier.
The most confirm test for pregnancy is presence of a sac of baby in the uterus, which can be seen on a Ultrasonography scan.
I would rather advise you to have a USG scan, it will serve you 3 purpose:- 1. you can confirm your pregnancy , 2. you can know the reason of that crampy pain in your lower abdomen , 3. Lastly you can confirm the relation between 1 and 2 points above i.e. is that pain due to your pregnancy or not .
