Periorificial Dermatitis, Severe Around Lips, Eye-lid. Taken Venusia Cream, Tacroz, LCZ. Prescribed Nudoxy Capsule. Will This Prove Beneficial?
i have been treated for Periorificial Dermatitis(because of prolong use of Sofradex-F cream for 1 year) for last 1.5 year year where doctor prescibed me Venusia cream,Tacroz(Tacrolimus) ointment and LCZ(for Itching but i found no improvement in skin condition ,recently he added Nudoxy capsule (to be taken empty stomach ).will this improve skin condition to normal? please help as my condition worsens around my Lips( mouth ) and upper eye-lid ,if anything other then prescribed by doctor .
hi. periorificial dermatitis can be really frustrating both for the clinician as well as the patient. follow the following steps:
1. stop using all cosmetics, sunscreens, moisturizers on your face and of course stop using steroids even if your dermatitis flares up initially. 2. use a mild cleanser like cetaphil. 3. use topical clindamycin gel twice daily. 4. oral doxycycline 100mg (nudoxy) twice daily would induce a remission in 2-3 weeks. continue it for 3-4 months
