Persistent Numbness In Finger Tips, Thighs, Uneasiness After Taking Treatment For Diverticulitis, Chlamydia. What Is The Cause?

i was incorrectly diagnosed with chlamydia 2 weeks ago, was given 2 wide spectrum anti biotics, almost completed the course before test results showed negative. Have been feeling very unwell, aches and pains all over body, now on more antibiotics as doctor suspects divitulitis (sorry spelt incorrect im sure) bowel infection... but still feeling very unwell unable to go about my normal day, very restless, disrupted sleep, confused at times, numbness in finger tips and thighs! what on earth is going on and should i have to put up with this until test on bowel is carried out?

Hi,

It is probably caused because of the antibiotic you are taking, you need to return back to your doctor to try to change it if possible.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Salah Saad Shoman, Internal Medicine Specialist
