Persistent Painful Bowel Movement.

my daughter is 2 and a half year old. She has been passing stools regularly without any difficulty daily at least once a day or at times twice a day. But after yesterday afternoon she did not pass any stool and when she finally managed to pass stool today evening it was quite painful for her. Now she has the sensation to pass stool but she says it still hurts. What should I give her

Hello Vidya,there is nothing to worry.since your daughter passed stool after one day, being bit hard it might have caused mild lacerations.you can apply ghee (clarified butter) in that area 4 to 5 times a day.otherwise you can apply pilex ointment.she will be fine in a day or two.give her milk and fluids and proper diet.
