Persisting Diarrhea Post Treatment, History Of Diverticulitis. Help?
iam 48 year old male who has diverticular for a few years but last week i got flu and dirrhoea, i had to go to work so i took immodium for 4 days but i still have the dirrohea. i went to the doctors and he said i shouldnt have taken immodium i should have let nature take its course, so i took couple days off work starved myself for 24 hours then started slowly eating again, but the dirrohea is worse now. its been 8 days now
Welcome to HCM. Diarrhea occurs frequently in diverticulitis. You have to keep your diet pattern regularly.Maintain proper hydration.
Eat good nutitious,high fiber food.Drink enough water and other liq. like fruit juices,vegetable soups,buttrmilk and ors formula. Complete course of oral medicine like Ofloxacin with ornidazole,lacobaccilus tab. will be helpful. Ask your physician for line of medical management.
