I need to discuss this unusual hideous pimple I've been having. It is small and white and it has redness around it. It popped and now that spot and a diameter of an inch around that spot is black and it is very noticeable on my leg. A few days later I got the same "pimple" a inches away from the previous one and I'm scared that it's going to pop and give me the same black hideous spot. My leg looks horrible because of that one spot and I do not want any more of these. Please help me?
hi
Seems like you have recurrent folliculitis of the legs....
Folliculitis (also known as "Hot Tub Rash") is the inflammation of one or more hair follicles. The condition may occur anywhere on the skin with the exception of the palms of the hands and soles of the feet. They may appear as red dots and later form pus filled painful lesions
I would recommend that you avoid using any kind of oils or mosturising creams over your legs...wear cotton clothes as much as possible so that there is no excessive sweating and use some antibiotic creams( like Mupirocin Cream) over the lesions as soon as they develop....Do not touch or squeeze the lesions as far as possible as it can lead to scar formation
Now since you have developed hyperpigmanted scar at the site of previous lesion,i would recommend that you use some lightening agent containing kojic acid and vitamin C over the affected area twice a day
Sometimes Recurrent folliculitis is common in diabetics...so get your blood glucose level assessed once if you have'nt done it in recent past
hope it helps
