Pins And Needles, Buttocks Pain And Inability To Perform Strenuous Physical Activities Due To Disc Bulging. Will It Heal Soon?

43 yo female, ct scan revealed l4/5 disc bulging centrally impinging on thecal sac and l5/s1 prolapsed and herniated inferiorly impinging on origin of root nerve on left. Symptoms all on the right, pins and needles, skin crawling a d buttock pain on both sides. Can walk easily, sitting is a problem. Would love to get back to running. How long does it take to heal? If I can run is this dangerous given the problem? Starting physio tomorrow. 6 weeks since initial injury.

Kindly pursue physiotherapy for a month and the running can be resumed only after observing pace of your recovery. Dont start running at earliest it might aggravate your injury

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
Here I would say that this could be lumber spondylitis, if I would be your doctor then I would certainly ask for physiotherapy because in such cases this is the only treatment which gives satisfactory result, along with some symptomatic medicine and this includes the NSAID drug with some vitamins supplements and in my all patients I do get better results, why not you try this you will definitely feel good with this, have nice day.
