Should I Continue To Have Switched From Propranolol To Amlodipine Despite My Blood Pressure Fluctuating And My Ankles Getting Swollen?

Please help me try to figure this out. I had been taking propranolol er 80 mg caps for many years along with triamterene hats 37.5-25 mg tab for many years but when in Florida last winter I saw a new dr there thinking I may need one if we chose to make it our home. He immediately told me to stop propranolol as he said it could cause tremors. I had done very well all those years keeping my blood pressure in check and was confused why I should stop and change to amlodipine besylate 10 mg but did so and blood pressure was fluctuating a lot and still and my ankles are pre swollen since this started. I am back home in Missouri now to stay and contacted my dr here and she said I should continue with amlodipine and triamterene but after a couple months the symptoms continue so she today ordered metoprolol succ er 50 mg and after reading the possible side effects I’m still concerned. I haven’t started it yet as I already took amlodipine this morning . Thank you for your answer in advance
