I had an upper respiratory event with plugged/painful ears, sore throat, chest congestion with a lot of coughing, little nasal involvement. Went on penicillin and as I was finishing that it seemed to be clearing up. Came back with slight pain in the ears, and a very sore throat, again coughing. Feeling much better last three-four days, no throat pain last two days, ears still popping a bit but not plugged. Today I felt a small lump on the pallette, just above where the wisdom tooth was removed many years ago. It is not movable. It is not what I would call painful, just an irritation - like having a food particle stuck to that place. It is not white, slightly red. Difficult to see. White patches where tonsils used to be. I am 54 and smoke about a pack a day of cigarettes. Do I see doctor, or dentist, or treat from home?
