Pneumothorax Vaccination Subcutaneously In Adipose Tissue, Swelling And Pain. What Went Wrong?

Hi Doc,

I administered a pneumothorax vaccination subcutaneously in the adipose tissue of a patient's right arm. The area became swollen and painful. Was I wrong? Is subcutaneous tissue confine to just the abdomen, thigh, or arm? I know that these are the preferred sites for sub Q, but can it not be delivered anywhere else where there is adipose tissue enough to contain the drug?

Hello

There is no vaccine called 'pneumothorax' vaccine. Could you please get back to me and let me know which vaccine was administered to you?

Thank you
