Poor Dental Hygiene, Loss Of Tooth Enamel, Black Plaque In Cracks, Abscess Formation. Cure?

I have not brushed my teeth regularly in 13 years, I m 21. I probably brushed twice a year. After losing a tooth in December, my dental hygiene has become important, but I have no dental insurance. It seems as though a tooth is losing it s enamel, I have black stuff in the cracks of my back teeth, right now my upper and lower teeth feel like they are itchy and numb at the same time. The tooth that came out has some left over tooth still in it, it might be forming an abscess . What can I do with no dental insurance, to help stop these issues?

Hello
Welcome to HCM
I would like to tell you that you that brushing teeth is the chief requirement of teeth.Like other parts of body our teeth are also very important. They also need proper cleanliness & brushing is must. You can't change what all has happened till now but for preventing further problems you need to start habit of brushing twice a day.
First of all go for complete oral prophylaxis because by now you might have got so much of stains & calculus which can't be cleaned manually.Next step is you start using 0.2% chlorhexidine mouthwash once daily half an hour after brushing.Do betadine gargles twice a day. Also use dental floss for interdental cleaning.Start taking tab metrogyl-400 twice a day if you have bleeding gums problem.Along with that take multivitamin capsule. Most important start developing brushing habit & go for complete dental check-up.

Take Care

Hello,
Depending on where you live you might be able to find a free dental clinic to go to for dental care. Another option is to find a dental school near your area to become a patient. They have discounted rates, you have high quality work completed by training dentists heavily supervised by seasoned dentists in their clinics. The downside is that the work takes longer to do and your appointments may be anywhere from 1 1/2 hours to 3 hours long.

Black material in the cracks of your teeth can be staining from years of neglect, arrested caries (areas that had active cavities that stopped and now have remineralized), they could be active areas of decay or just part of the natural anatomy of your teeth.

Itchy and/or numb teeth could be due to the inflammation of your gums and require a dentist intervention and evaluation.

These issues can only be addressed by actively seeking a dentist in your area and being evaluated for proper diagnosis.

Sometimes when teeth are extracted small parts of bone break and may not be taken out at the original time of the appointment. This bone can either reattach or will be rejected by the body and come out through the gums. This is a common but possibly painful experience.

Abscesses are extremely important to be seen by a clinician. They can lead to infections of the sinus that can lead to an infection in the brain and even death if neglected.

I hope this information helps. Best wishes for well health.

hello and welcome,
it is very important to maintain good oral hygiene as it can lead to any other systemic conditions too.always brush your teeth twice regularly using soft toothbrush and toothpaste.
your oral hygiene maintenance is too bad.your gums are effected by gingivitis and periodontitis.
the gums are swollen and bleeding due to plaque and calculus deposition.
the tooth has lost due to periodontal destruction and bone loss which occurs due to localised periodontitis.
there may be pathological deepening of gingival sulcus which is known as periodontal pocket.
visit you dentist and get deep scaling and root planning done.abscess must be drained and curettage has to be done.
interdental wiring/splinting has to be done in case of grade 2 mobile teeth.this will prevent tooth loss.
the black stuffs will get removed by scaling.
the piece of tooth remaining has to be extracted.
take tab.doxycycline-100mg,once daily for 7 days to reduce gingivitis.

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query,
to maintain a good oral hygiene is very important
There are many charitable clinics where you can visit
To prevent enamel loss and keep teeth healthy, be sure to brush and floss teeth daily. See your dentist every six months for regular checkups and cleaning.
Treatment of tooth enamel loss depends on the problem. Sometimes tooth bonding is used to protect the tooth and increase cosmetic appearance
If the enamel loss is significant, the dentist may recommend covering the tooth with a crown. The crown may protect the tooth from further decay
visit the dentist and get your oral prophylaxis done
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful
