Popping Noise After Anterior Cruciate Ligament Surgery, Why Is This Happening ?
Hello, I had anterior cruciate ligament surgery 5 months ago. I have just recently noticed a popping/clicking noise when my knee is bent and i try to straight my leg. There is no pain. Why is this happening ? Is it Serious?
Hi.
Welcome to HealthcareMagic Forum. The popping noise you hear is not at all serious. most likely it is due to osteoarthritic changes taking place in your knee joint. Physiotherapy will help. No need of any medicines if there is no pain.

Dear Friend
Popping sound after ACLR may have 2-3 causes
1. Ligament impinging to the roof of notch.
2. from patelo-femoral joint
3. from meniscus tear left untreated which is very rare & painful.
So just follow rehab prigramme, built up quads & hamstrings & revieve after 2 months.
