Popping Of Thumb Whenever Moved With Cracking, Mild Pain. Suggestions?

My thumb pops every single time I move it...and I can like pull it and rotate it a little and it will crack! And it's getting annoying. And when I pull back the part of the palm where the thumb and palm meets, like that whole area, it hurts a little and I feel like cracking it all the time but it won't and it just hurts.

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

Thumb can be rotated to certain degree and the sound may be due to release of joint. Just compare with other thumb. If the movement and rotation are different there may be chance of dislocation. The pain and cracking sound may be due to dislocation or due to tendons or ligaments moving over joint. Dont repeat or handle your thumb again and again. Get one x ray done and consult your doctor for examination and management.
Hope I answered your question. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries.
Wish you good health. Take care.
