Possibility Of Positive Pregnancy Test And No Baby On Ultrasound

Hi, i went to a clinic to get an ultra sound because i ve been getting positive pregnancy tests and we couldnt see anything on the ultra sound but im getting a pretty good baby bump going on and i d be roughly 8 wks is it possible it was just to early to see the baby? and twins run in both sides of the family mine and the fathers what are the chances of twins?

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion in transabdominal ultrasound gestational sac at 6 weeks and fetal pole and yolk sac at 7 weeks and 1 week early in transvaginal ultrasound.By 8 weeks even the fetal cardiac activity should be seen.So repeat the ultrasound and also urine pregnancy test.The baby bump is seen around 4-5 months and it is too early to see it at 8 weeks.
