hi dr,
i was pregnent before 6 months n at 8th week doctor suggested d & c because doctors were not getting heart beat.........
after then doctor detected i was having septet uterus they removed it by surgery.
now again i am 6 week pregnent, doctor has given me progesterone & hcg inj once in a week
what is the roll of this inj in my case?
is there any risk in my pregnancy?

Hi Dear,
Progesteron and Inj HCG are supportive treatment given to prevent pregnancy loss especially in females with previous history of mishaps in the form of abortions etc.
You have the history of missed abortion which can occur due to a large number of reasons, septate uterus being one.
Already the septate uterus has been taken care of but still there remains a lot many causes. Considering your history you have been started on the above medication which may be helpful to you.
Also, these medicines are totally safe and do not cause any harm to your baby

In case of reduced hormonal levels we need to suppliment them to maintain your pregnancy.
Need not have to worry, as you had previous history of abortion, your doctor has prescribed these medications, continue them according to your doctors advice.
Get scan done 8th week of pregnancy.
Take folic acid medications and nutritious diet.
