Pregnant. Constipation, Minimal Cramps, Sharp Pain In Left Side When Trying To Pass Stools. Possible Sign Of Ectopic?
I am 5 weeks pregnant and I am having trouble with constipation. So far I've had no bleeding or spotting and very minimal cramps. Not other uncommon symptoms. When trying to have a bowel movement tonight, I had a sharp pain in my left side. It only happens when I strain. Could this be a sign of a ectopic or just constipation?
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Such type of intense pain during bowel movement may be due to . 1 Left renal colic , diagnosis can be confirmed by ultrasound of left side of kidney. However pain on the left side may be due to stone any where in urinary tract system. 2 Amoebic colitis or tumor in large intestine , diagnosis can be confirmed by colonoscopy for tumor. 3 Ectopic pregnancy is not the reason of constipation . However severe chronic constipation with pregnancy may be the cause in left side of groin region. Diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination by a physician. In my opinion first of all consider about the constipation and deal accordingly. Good luck. Dr. HET
