Pregnant, FL Measuring 26+ Weeks. Does Fetal Length Increase And Decrease ?

Hi dr,
I am 28 weeks pregnant. I had my growth scan yesterday. My measurements are HC: 268mm, AC: 234mm, BPD: 75mm and FL : 49mm. My question is FL is measuring on the very low side of the graph. 49mm is for 26+ weeks. I am worried. Also is it possible for FL to increase first , then decrease and then increase. Please help me.

Hi,
Thanks for the query.

The possible factors for the disparity are:
-Error while taking the ultrasound.
-Constitutional, if mother and father are of short stature that may affect the length of the baby.
-Usually gestational age by second trimester ultrasound can show one to two weeks disparity from gestational age by lmp.
So you follow with regular antenatal checkups to monitor the growth. Hope for the best.
