Pregnant. Taken Antacids For Ulcer. Will It Affect Baby?

hi Im Venus from Philippines i had take some medicine unrelated to my pregnancy some are antacid cause i thought i have ulcer.. that was one month and two weeks of my pregnancy but i don't really know that i am pregnant.. now im eight months pregnant hope that it doesn't affect my baby .. i had my check-up but i am not convince.. yet im hoping that everything is okay.. thanks ..

Hi Venus,
Thanks for writing to us.
If you are now eight months pregnant and everything is fine you should not worry about antacid intake.
You may consult a gynaecologist for proper examination and ultrasonography to rule out that everything is fine or not.

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

Need not have to worry for this, antacids are safer in pregnancy, can be taken during pregnancy. that will not affect your baby.
Antacids basically act with in stomach, won't get absorbed into circulation. so no effect on baby.
